About Tim
That's me. I'm Tim. I've spent over <cough>twenty</cough> years building things on the internet for other people. Websites, applications, digital storefronts. Good pay for a broke student with a technical background that always dreamed of being a writer someday.
Did you know the years start coming and they don't stop coming? Before you know it, it's well over two decades of "somedays." What a fucking smash to the mouth!
It's not wasted time. For the last ten years I've been co-hosting Watchers on the Couch, a podcast about TV and film, with my friend Mike. Somewhere in all those hours of talking about other people's stories, I remembered what kind of stories I actually wanted to tell. Stories I probably wasn't sharp enough to write as a younger man.
I write fantasy fiction. Sword and sorcery, mainly. The kind that will hopefully one day inspire stoner rock songs full of slow, sludgy guitars, or folk metal by bands with Europeans in chain mail. That's when I'll know I've made it. When I inspire a song that'll be featured on an album that I grossly overpay for the vinyl to be shipped over the ocean.
My first short story is coming in spring 2026. More are on the way.
This site is where I write about the work: the fiction, the process, the inspirations, the journey so far, and whatever road lies ahead.
If that sounds like your kind of fuzz distortion jam, the newsletter is where I get into the details: the behind-the-scenes of writing and self-publishing, early access when new stories drop... you like pictures of dice? I can send you dicepics. Solicited dicepics, of course. Very tasteful.
